Fybroids
The occurence of fybroids in the uterus is much more common than women often believe. Up to eighty percent of women manifest them at some point during their reproductive years, although most of them don’t display symptoms, as the fybroids are usually tiny.
Women go for a diagnosis only when the fybroids start giving them problems. The symptoms that begin to occur include swelling in the abdomen, urination at frequent intervals or problems in digestion. All these symptoms depend on the place where the fybroid is located and also on its size. Women also experience painful or excessive menstrual periods. Sexual intercourse might be painful if the fibroid is located close to the cervix.
Many methods of detecting fybroids exist. Physicians may be able to feel for them in a routine pelvic exam, or utilize an ultrasound to figure out whether you have fybroids, and how big the tumors are. Doctors can also detect them with an x-ray, CAT scan, or hysterosalpingogram. Some techniques of getting a diagnosis are drastic, including laparoscopic surgery or a hysteroscopy, both of which are invasive procedures that require anaesthetic.
A doctor might offer you two choices, depending on how severe the fybroids are: pharmaceuticals, or surgical procedures. The pharmaceuticals usually prescribed for fybroids are forms of birth control pills that introduce artificial progesterone into your body in order to stop fybroids from growing, but they also have the ability to prevent pregnancy.
Another drug called a gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist can be recommended so that the body may produce lesser hormones. Its side-effects can be harsh because it can bring on a condition close to menopause. In other words, you may experience hot flashes, lack of sleep, lessened sex drive, despondency, aching joints and a loss of bone density. They are also not a favourable alternative if you desire to become a mother.
Surgery is not always a viable option for some women because they fear something might go wrong during the surgical procedure. However there are surgical options for fybroids. One of which is Uterine Fybroid Embolization, or deliver of small particles that block the blood supply to the fibroids. Another surgical option is myomectomy, surgical removal of a myoma. Lastly there is hysterectomy, excision of the uterus. Other women search for more non-invasive options that do not have the draw backs of side effects have no side effects.
The first and foremost thing I advise a fybroid patient is to change her diet. She should eat more of organic foods and vegetables and less of meat and dairy products. This is because most of the foods available in the market are treated with chemicals which cause the fybroids to develop faster.
The only way to remove the chemicals from your body is a 28-day body cleanse. To cleanse your body you increase your consumption of vegetable superfoods, which are foods that have a high phytonutrient content. these help the body circulate these chemicals out. This is necessary because our bodies cannot digest the chemicals. This causes them to build up, and is why fybroids get worse and worse as you age. The chemicals just build up and cause fybroid growth at an exponetial rate.
