Fybroids

Fybroids

The occurence of fybroids in the uterus is much more common than women often believe. Up to eighty percent of women manifest them at some point during their reproductive years, although most of them don’t display symptoms, as the fybroids are usually tiny.

Some women go for a diagnosis only after the fybroids begin to cause symptoms. Such kinds of symptoms would include abdomen swelling, frequent urge to urinate or digestive problems, determined by the location of a large fybroid, and painful and heavy periods. In case your fybroid is present around the cervix, you may feel pain at the time of sexual intercourse.

Many methods of detecting fybroids exist. Physicians may be able to feel for them in a routine pelvic exam, or utilize an ultrasound to figure out whether you have fybroids, and how big the tumors are. Doctors can also detect them with an x-ray, CAT scan, or hysterosalpingogram. Some techniques of getting a diagnosis are drastic, including laparoscopic surgery or a hysteroscopy, both of which are invasive procedures that require anaesthetic.

Depending on the seriousness of your fibroids, your doctor will present two alternatives before you: medicinal drugs or surgery. The drugs recommended for fybroids are a kind of birth control pills. Artificial progesterone is introduced into the body through these pills so that the fibroids don’t develop further but they can also obstruct your pregnancy.

Your doctor may prescribe a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist to decrease your hormone production. Sometimes, the side effects of these pharmaceuticals are drastic, as they induce a state much the same as menopause. They might therefore cause you to experience hot flashes, insomnia, lowered sex drive, depression, joint pain, and bone density loss. These drugs are not an option if you plan on having a baby.

Surgery is not always a viable option for some women because they fear something might go wrong during the surgical procedure. However there are surgical options for fybroids. One of which is Uterine Fybroid Embolization, or deliver of small particles that block the blood supply to the fibroids. Another surgical option is myomectomy, surgical removal of a myoma. Lastly there is hysterectomy, excision of the uterus. Other women search for more non-invasive options that do not have the draw backs of side effects have no side effects.

Usually, I advise clients with fybroids to change what they eat. Consuming more organic vegetables and fruits, and reducing the amount of dairy and meat products eaten, can help. The reason for this is that much of the food you buy at the grocery store has been chemically treated during its life, which causes your fybroids to grow faster.

It is unfortunate that these chemicals cannot be broken down and they go on accumulating. This is the reason why the fybroids of women go on worsening with age- the chemicals go on accumulating leading to an increase in the fybroid’s growth. A 28-day body cleanse is required to get rid of these chemicals during which the intake of green super foods is increased as it helps in removing these chemicals more rapidly.
